Climate change: it’s an ‘everyone’ problem.

Climate Week, an annual event dedicated to increasing awareness and mobilizing climate action, witnessed significant disagreements this year, particularly regarding the phasing out of fossil fuels and the involvement of oil companies in climate initiatives. Notably, many oil-producing nations and corporations remain reluctant to curtail their activities.

In addition to these debates, non-profit organizations like Avaaz are advocating for financial reforms that would provide essential support to developing countries. These nations are often significant contributors to greenhouse gas emissions but lack the necessary funding for environmental development. This financial deficit not only hinders their economic progress but also poses a threat to these countries' overall well-being.

The Philippines, though making progress toward achieving its climate action goals outlined in SDG 13, like other developing countries will require international assistance to attain their ambitious target of reducing greenhouse gas emissions by 75% by 2030.

Do you think your country is doing enough?
